Law Firm Membership
Who is eligible?
Any law firm with two or more attorneys licensed to practice in Maine.
Firm Membership requires participation by all attorneys in the firm’s Maine offices. Individual attorneys employed by a law firm cannot join separately.
Attorneys assigned to the firm’s offices outside Maine are not included in the membership.
Memberships are generally nontransferable.
What is the cost?
The membership term is October 1 to September 30.
Membership dues are based on the total number of attorneys assigned to the firm’s Maine offices at the time of application.
Firms joining after April 1 pay prorated dues of 50% of the applicable annual rate for the remainder of the membership term.
Memberships may be renewed beginning September 1.
An attorney at a member firm may request an after-hours access card for $25 per membership term. Firm-wide participation is not required for access cards.
Access cards are valid only for the membership term in which they are issued and must be renewed for continued access in subsequent membership terms. Access card fees are not prorated.
Only one access card will be issued per attorney. Access cards may not be shared.
